This week we take a break from the book of Galatians to examine the significance of Jesus' Triumphal Entry to Jerusalem.
Justified By Faith
Galatians 2:15-21.
Verse 16: "yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified."
Conduct Not In Step With The Gospel
Galatians 2:11-14. John Stott described this passage like this: "This is without doubt one of the most tense and dramatic episodes in the New Testament. Here are two leading apostles of Jesus Christ face to face in complete and open conflict."

Not A Man's Gospel
In Galatians 1:10-24, Paul makes it clear that he did not receive his Gospel from other men, but from Jesus Christ Himself.
No Other Gospel!
The Galatian Christians were in a state of deep spiritual confusion. False teachers had infiltrated the church and had corrupted the purity of the Gospel. Paul tells them that their acceptance of this false "gospel" has resulted in an abandonment of God Himself.

The God Who Exposes The Heart
Jonah is not ultimately a story about a rebellious prophet, a giant fish, or that great city Nineveh. In fact, although the book bears his name, Jonah isn't even the main character in the story - God is. And, as the main character, God appropriately has the last word in the book of Jonah. And that word is a word of grace: "Should I not pity Nineveh?"
The God Who Is Merciful
In Jonah 4:1-4, Jonah puts God's mercy on trial. Nineveh deserves judgment and wrath, but God has chosen to show them grace and mercy instead. How can God give grace to sinners without violating His own righteousness and justice?
